Sanders first Auburn game

Before football began, Matt and I decided that this would be the year to take Sanders to his first game. I absolutely love Auburn football. And I absolutely LOVE watching the games. I'm not a wife who likes to attend the games just to say I went. I go to cheer on the team...to yell and scream and celebrate when great things happen...and to TRY to be a positive and up-beat fan when great things don't happen! So, we wanted him to go, but not to a big game...not yet.

Homecoming was really late this year and that's the game we chose. Matt got off early on the Friday before the game and we headed up to the lake. We made a pit stop at Red Robin for dinner and Bruesters for dessert. Sanders was on cloud nine and didn't know what to do with himself with just mom and dad...no brothers. (Britt and Mom were AWESOME and kept the munchkins for us.)

On Saturday we woke up and headed into Auburn. We took Sanders to Tiger Walk and he got a glimpse of Aubie and the cheerleaders. We went into the game and after two cups of boiled peanuts, M&M's, popcorn and drink, it was time to exit for nap time. He lasted until the third quarter...I was proud of him! I don't know if he can remember or will remember going, but it was a very special weekend for me and Matt. Auburn is a special place for many reasons...one being that Matt and I met and started dating there 11 years ago! War Eagle!

September-November 2011

I have been a horrible blogger for the past three months. Halloween then Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Im going to try and make it a comittment to update every week...like I had been doing at the start of last year. Here are some picture of the past four months:

September-

* Sawyer and Shephard turned one. No more bottles!

October:

* Boys first Halloween and Sanders second. They were skeletons and Sanders was Buzz Light Year

November:

* Twins started walking...at fourteen months exactly.

* Sanders attended his first Auburn football game

* Thanksgiving was at Britt's house. After lunch we went up to the lake to celebrate with Matt's family.

* We went to the Iron Bowl...My whole side of the family was elated with the outcome...me not so much. Thought I'd stick in a happy from last season. : )

For Christmas we got one of these for Matt's dad and Marie and I got one for Matt's office. It's a 24x36 canvas from www.pictureitoncanvas.com. They did an awesome job...great groupon deal!

Boxes

I remember doing a post on Sanders about two years ago talking about how he loved boxes. His brothers are falling in his footsteps. I snapped these pictures one night when daddy was pushing them around in the laundry basket and an old diaper box. I love hearing the squeals of joy that are coming from them when they are having fun!

Sometimes when Matt has to work late, mom will come over to help me get all of the hoodlums bathed and down for the night. As often is the case, the night was filled with laughter.

While we were getting the twins PJ's on, we left Sanders in the bathroom. He honestly is a good kid- not mischievous...or so I thought. I remember that he kept running back and forth in the bathroom while shouting "whee." This went on for several minutes and it never occurred to me what he could be doing. I am known to tune the kids out during highly "busy" situations, so this was one of them. I was trying to focus on getting the PJ's onto Mr. squirmy Sawyer at the time. Anyways, when Sanders said "look mommy" I looked....and there he stood in the bathroom door...with Matt's black dress shoes in his hands. Cute right? No. He then proceeded to dump WATER out of the dress shoe. I couldn't get mad. I was in shock! I then walked into the bathroom and there was WATER EVERYWHERE. He had been using the shoe and a cup to dump water from the tub onto the floor. I turned to look at mom, with tears in my eyes from laughing, and told her to come look. Sanders then decided to start running back and forth, which allowed him to "water skate" on the floor. He busted several times with his feet in the air. Oh.my.soul. Great ab workout! While moms and my attention was on Sanders, the twins had made it to his room and this is what I found:

Birthday Post...three and a half months later :)

Happy Birthday Boys! I cannot believe a year has passed by since we were blessed with y'alls arrival! On the birthday day we went to Kangaroos and Chic-fil-A for lunch. That night we had pizza and...yummy cake. It was so funny watching the boys eat the cake. Sawyer insisted on grabbing and reaching for Shephard's cake. I eventually had to separate them. It is FASCINATING to be apart of these boys lives. I'm writing this in January and laughing at how the two have done a complete 180 in personalities. These days Shephard would be the one stealing the cake!

I don't have any one year check-up numbers....because at 16 moths they still haven't gone to the one year appointment. I promise Ill make it there soon! Enjoy the pics:
